Founded in 2019 in Roubaix, France, DIZY set out to offer a more responsible alternative in the furniture market. Their headquarters in the Blanchemaille by Euratechnologies hub is a space where design, recycling, and upcycling come together, providing the perfect environment to develop innovative and sustainable furniture solutions. At DIZY, furniture is not only crafted for function and aesthetics, but conceived to last longer, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact.
Sustainability is at the core of DIZY’s philosophy. The company designs, recycles, and upcycles furniture to extend its lifespan and combat planned obsolescence. Their customizable furniture range is designed to adapt to the needs of each project, allowing architects and designers to create pieces with tailored dimensions, forms, functions, and finishes. DIZY even goes a step further by transforming client waste, old furniture, or leftover construction materials into new, high-quality products, demonstrating that creativity and responsibility can go hand in hand.
DIZY’s portfolio already includes impressive projects that showcase their commitment to design and sustainability. For SNCF Connect & Tech, they developed 1,188 connected lockers and 34 sit-stand workstations from upcycled panels. In a project for MAAF, 310 workstations and 468 locker units with combination locks were created entirely from recycled office elements – a project that was 100% Made in France. For Enedis, DIZY refurbished and newly crafted 80 cabinets and developed 1,500 upcycled lockers created from existing materials, significantly extending the lifecycle of the original components. Beyond offices, DIZY has delivered furniture for co-living spaces, hotels, and public areas, using creative upcycled materials such as shell-based panels or reclaimed tabletops. These projects exemplify how DIZY seamlessly combines function, aesthetics, and sustainability.
DIZY’s circular approach is also fully aligned with the French AGEC law (Anti-Waste for a Circular Economy), which promotes waste reduction, extended product lifecycles, and responsible resource management. Their upcycling methodology and the ability to create new furniture from existing materials actively support the goals of this legislation, helping organizations meet sustainability requirements without compromising on quality or design.
