Innovation rooted in family tradition

Wettstein’s story began in 1946, when Edwin Wettstein founded a joinery in Erlen, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. Over three generations, the small craft business has evolved into a leading manufacturer of bespoke furniture components and customized furnishing solutions. Rather than relying on standardized mass production, the family-owned company focuses on flexibility, premium quality, and individual implementation.

This philosophy has shaped the company’s continued development and led to several significant milestones, including its specialization in postforming technologies in the late 1970s, becoming the first woodworking company in Europe to achieve ISO 9001 certification, and the continuous expansion of its production and development capabilities.

Today, Wettstein stands for comprehensive expertise across the entire value chain because even the best idea can only succeed when it is executed to perfection.

Digital planning meets craftsmanship

Wettstein is now represented in pCon as a B2B catalog. Designers and planners have access to detailed product data for modeling, visualization, and documentation. Changes to dimensions, materials, or configurations are reflected in real time throughout the entire project  from geometry to product information such as prices and technical specifications.

This ensures a reliable foundation for space planning, visual development, and quotation processes, particularly in projects where accuracy and transparency are essential.

Behind the planning data available in the catalog lies Wettstein’s extensive manufacturing and material expertise. The company processes a wide range of premium materials, including veneers, solid wood, linoleum, FENIX NTM, high-pressure laminates (HPL), MDF, and multiplex plywood. This broad material portfolio enables highly customized furniture and interior concepts that combine functionality, durability, and sophisticated design.

Integrating the collection into pCon opens up new possibilities for digital and highly customized space planning.
