What does the future of sales look like?
How can product data become a real competitive advantage?
And what role will artificial intelligence play for small and medium-sized businesses?
These were the questions at the heart of the pCon Event 2026, where more than 120 professionals from the furniture, lighting, acoustics, and media technology industries gathered at the Festhalle Ilmenau. Hosted jointly by wegscheider office solution and EasternGraphics, the inaugural event brought together manufacturers, planners, retailers, and technology experts for a day of inspiring presentations, practical insights, and meaningful conversations about the future of digital product data.

More InformationOne ecosystem. Unlimited possibilities.
The event began with a look back at the evolution of pCon – from its first proprietary data platform in the late 1990s to today’s comprehensive pCon ecosystem. The vision has remained the same throughout: one central source of product data that powers countless digital workflows across the industry.
A particular highlight was the pCon.catalog portal, which provides architects, designers, and planners with seamless access to manufacturer-neutral 3D models, materials, and product information. Compatible with leading design tools including Vectorworks, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, the portal increases product visibility while giving manufacturers valuable insights into how their digital content is used.
Best practices from industry leaders
The event featured inspiring real-world success stories from leading companies across the industry:
Simone Spang from Piure demonstrated how digital processes simplify even the most complex product configurations. Harald Künzle from Reiter Design explained how live product configuration transforms customer consultations in retail by making planning faster and more interactive.
Joel Bärhold from Vitra shared valuable insights into integrating pCon with global SAP, CRM, and CPQ environments. And Georgia Link from Interstuhl showed how even extensive product portfolios with thousands of variants can be managed efficiently by small teams – with the right data strategy.
A first look at the future: pCon.planner next
One of the day’s most anticipated moments was the exclusive first presentation of pCon.planner next. Powered by AI, designed for intuitive workflows, and available natively on macOS for the first time, the next generation of pCon represents a major milestone in digital space planning. The program was complemented by demonstrations of BIM integration with Autodesk Revit® and an expert perspective from the German Office and Workplace Association on both the opportunities and challenges AI presents for SMEs.
Strong partnerships drive innovation
One message resonated throughout the day: the future of our industry depends on connected data, intelligent platforms, and strong partnerships. Whether during keynote sessions, networking breaks, or conversations over the evening reception, the exchange of ideas across companies and disciplines proved to be one of the event’s greatest strengths.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all our speakers, partners, and guests for making the first pCon Event such a memorable success. This was more than just an event – it marked the beginning of a new platform for collaboration and innovation.

The conversations do not stop here: we are already looking forward to meeting many of you again at ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne from 27–30 October, where we will continue exploring new ideas for digital sales, planning, and product communication. Until then, stay connected and curious!
